Team Accountable Fitness Challenge Terms And Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants engaging in Team Accountable fitness challenges, including but not limited to the Thor Hammer Hold Challenge, Push-Up Challenge, and any future physical activities or competitions conducted by Team Accountable at conventions, events, expos, or promotional activations.

By participating in any Team Accountable challenge, participants acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Participation Eligibility

1.1 Participation is voluntary.

1.2 Participants must:

Be physically capable of safely participating in the challenge.
Follow all instructions provided by Team Accountable staff or volunteers.
Conduct themselves safely and respectfully at all times.

1.3 Participants under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian before participating.

1.4 Team Accountable reserves the right to refuse participation to any person displaying unsafe, aggressive, intoxicated, or inappropriate behaviour.

2. Assumption of Risk

2.1 Participants acknowledge that physical activity carries inherent risks including, but not limited to:

Muscle soreness or fatigue
Strains or sprains
Dizziness or shortness of breath
Aggravation of pre-existing injuries or medical conditions
Slips, trips, falls, or equipment-related incidents

2.2 Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in the challenges.

2.3 Participants are responsible for monitoring their own physical condition during participation and must stop immediately if they experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, or any medical concern.

3. Liability Waiver & Indemnity

3.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants release and discharge Team Accountable, its organisers, volunteers, affiliates, sponsors, venue partners, and event staff from any liability, claims, demands, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from participation in the challenges.

3.2 Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Team Accountable against any claims arising from:

Their participation in the challenge
Breach of these Terms & Conditions
Unsafe or reckless conduct by the participant

3.3 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

4. Challenge Rules

Thor Hammer Hold Challenge

4.1 Participants must hold the weighted hammer in the instructed position as demonstrated by Team Accountable staff.

4.2 Time will commence once the correct position is achieved.

4.3 The attempt will end if:

The participant lowers their arm below the required position
The participant uses improper form
The participant drops the hammer
The participant uses support from another person or object

4.4 Team Accountable staff reserve the right to end an attempt if they believe continuing would be unsafe.

Push-Up Challenge

4.5 Push-ups must be completed using the standard demonstrated by Team Accountable staff.

4.6 Repetitions not meeting the required standard may not be counted.

4.7 Team Accountable staff reserve final discretion regarding scoring and valid repetitions.

4.8 Participants must stop immediately if instructed by Team Accountable staff.

5. Photography & Media

5.1 Participants acknowledge that photos and videos may be captured during events.

5.2 By participating, participants grant Team Accountable permission to use photographs or video footage containing their likeness for promotional, marketing, social media, and community purposes without compensation.

5.3 Participants may advise Team Accountable staff if they do not wish to appear in promotional media.

6. Event Changes & Cancellation

6.1 Team Accountable reserves the right to:

Modify challenge rules or formats
Refuse or remove participation
Cancel or suspend activities due to safety concerns, venue requirements, or unforeseen circumstances

7. Acceptance of Terms

By participating in any Team Accountable challenge, participants confirm that they:

Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
Understand the risks associated with participation
Voluntarily agree to participate
Agree to the liability waiver and indemnity provisions outlined above
